The aims of The Swedish Society for Communicable Disease Prevention and Control are to:
- develop and improve the prevention and control of communicable diseases in Sweden, working closely with other authorities and organisations in the field,
- protect the members' occupational and professional interests,
- promote efficient co-operation within and between the different departments involved, as well as between different staff categories at these department, and to
- support the Swedish Medical Association in matters concerning communicable diseases.
